Introduction
·         Valuation Department was established in MPKK since 1985 and was headed by the first appointed Valuer, Mr. Ronnie Lim till 20 June 1991. Mr. Lim has now migrated to Australia. Since then, Mr. Lifred Wong was appointed as the new head of Valuation Department up till now.
 
·        Grouped together under Finance and Budgetary Department when Majlis Perbandaran Kota Kinabalu was elevated to City Hall on 2 February 2000.
 
·        Due to responsibilities, volume and scope of works, Valuation Department was separated from the Finance and Budgetary Department and stand on its own with effect from 1 November 2003.
